An excerpt from the book “The Normal Christian Life,” by Watchman Nee (1903-1972).

Watchman Nee became a Christian in mainland China in 1920 at the age of seventeen and began writing in the same year. In 1952 he was imprisoned for his faith; he remained in prison until his death in 1972. His words remain an abundant source of spiritual revelation and supply to Christians throughout the world.

Romans 6:6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.

Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ…

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

all the ways of man are right in their own eyes but God weights the spirit and we need to learn to live in the spirit none of these men are off they know how to take Christ as life and in spirit and have taught millions to do the same any man that see's things in his own eyes needs to go directly to the Lord and they will see the light only Christ can show us the truth if you don't have Christ you can't see the truth only words and you can't see life.

Got the book its spot on. This guy knew exactly what he was talking about. Also recommend knowing and expeiencing God as life by witness Lee. God is the Spirit of Life and wants us to live by Him. Jesus denied Himself and took God as His life that He would fully express the Father we are to deny ourselves and take Christ as our life that we may fully express Him. That God may be all in all. Life conquering death.

Are you sure you aren't struggling because of the legalism(rampant law imposed improperly) within the church? My husband was raised in a church with many laws/ rules. Many of his contemporaries left the church for good because they felt they were struggling under the wait of all of it. I was raised with reformed teaching which didn't have the laws but the gospel preached faithfully; very different and freeing!
Cling to the true gospel and gratitude and good works will come as a natural result.

  14. Marsha FitzGerald says:

My husband and I read The Normal Christian Life several years ago, and my husband reread it a number of times. We've read about his life and other works, also. It was really special to actually hear this wonderful man's voice! It really touched us. Thank you!

  19. Francisco Guzman says:

    Hello Stop Fear,
May I ask how the leaders and organizers at Living Stream Ministry lied to you about the Biblical truth about Father, Son, and Holy Spirit? And what honest questions did you ask about the history of the church?…If you would be so kind as to pose the questions openly, perhaps we can examine them and pray that the Lord would grant us mercy and enlighten us to find the answers…. Try instead to not change because we are bound to get worse, but rather realize who you are in Christ.

  22. Revelation 3:20 says:

    1 Corinthians 4:20
The KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS NOT JUST SAYING I AM A CHRISTIAN BUT LIVING IT THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT
Are you sure you live a real Christian life? If not and you feel like it is imposable, remember Mark 9:23 With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.Repent, pray and ask God to take rule over you in your heart and to give you Revelation to know Him and overcoming power to live for Him.He will do it if you keep asking. Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you

  23. StopFear says:

This is last reply for now. If you claim you are not sure whether they (Christians from Lord's Recovery) teach heretical teaching, and that the Lord knows. Yes, absolutely, the three persons of God are absolutely omniscient. But God also wants you to know his true character through the Bible. I am sure you are saved, but to be absolutely sure you know the truth and are not lied to just do some research on your own online and you'll learn from honest Christians about what is wrong with "Recovery"

  24. StopFear says:

One thing you mention is that many of "your own dear brothers and sisters" are persecuted because of similar statements. I suppose you could be referring to persecution of "Local Church of Lord's Recovery" in China. I know all about it. Truth is all protestant Christian groups that teach from the Bible in entirety are persecuted. I think no Christian should agree to what they perceive as wrong teaching to avoid persecution. I am not measuring you personally at all, since I do not know you. cont.

  25. StopFear says:

I write this assuming that you may be one of the many (very many) people who are a part of one of the "local churches" organized by the Living Stream Ministry and you simply do not know what their leaders and organizers believe. Me personally? They lied to me about the Biblical truth about Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and refused to answer me when I asked honest questions about the history of the church. I was a young, less experienced Christian then.

  26. Godman-in-training says:

Mark 9:40 "For he who is not against us is for us", what sin have they done to you brother? Do you realize how many of your own dear brothers and sisters are persecuted and martyred because of your kind of words? Let the Lord be the judge and let us not measure one another.

In my experience, whether or not they teach heretical teaching or not I don't know, the Lord knows. but one thing I do know, that though I was once blind, now I see. once I was in the world and sinful now I love Him.

  27. StopFear says:

Hey, if any of you fellow believers in Lord Jesus are new to writings of Watchman Nee or Witness Lee, or have recently joined a church, or a club which introduced you to these writings please search internet and read what others saying about the "recovery church" or "local church" Some honest Christian brothers believe that this organization affiliated with Living Stream Ministry is teaching some heretical teachings. Just search on your own guys and Lord will show you the truth.
