    Wonderful! Loved it…‚ÄĚbut‚ÄĚ Exodus 2:3 says that Moses‚Äô mother put him in a papyrus basket and put it ‚Äúamong the reeds along the bank of the Nile‚ÄĚ. It doesn‚Äôt say she ever put the basket in the river. Exodus 2:5 further explains how baby Moses was found by Pharaoh‚Äôs daughter along the river bank when she went to bathe.

    Early in this year Titus Caesar, who had been selected by his father to complete the subjugation of Judaea, with this force Titus entered the enemy's territory, preserving strict order on his march, reconnoitring every spot, and always ready to give battle. At last he encamped near Jerusalem. 
    As I am about to relate the last days of a famous city, it seems appropriate to throw some light on its origin. 

    Some say that the Jews were fugitives from the island of Crete, who settled on the nearest coast of Africa about the time when Saturn was driven from his throne by the power of Jupiter. Evidence of this is sought in the name. There is a famous mountain in Crete called Ida; the neighbouring tribe, the Idaei, came to be called Judaei by a barbarous lengthening of the national name. Others assert that in the reign of Isis the overflowing population of Egypt, led by Hierosolymus and Judas, discharged itself into the neighbouring countries. Many, again, say that they were a race of Ethiopian origin, who in the time of king Cepheus were driven by fear and hatred of their neighbours to seek a new dwelling-place. Others describe them as an Assyrian horde who, not having sufficient territory, took possession of part of Egypt, and founded cities of their own in what is called the Hebrew country, lying on the borders of Syria. Others, again, assign a very distinguished origin to the Jews, alleging that they were the Solymi, a nation celebrated in the poems of Homer, who called the city which they founded Hierosolyma after their own name. 

    Most writers, however, agree in stating that once a disease, which horribly disfigured the body, broke out over Egypt; that king Bocchoris, seeking a remedy, consulted the oracle of Hammon, and was bidden to cleanse his realm, and to convey into some foreign land this race detested by the gods. The people, who had been collected after diligent search, finding themselves left in a desert, sat for the most part in a stupor of grief, till one of the exiles, Moyses by name, warned them not to look for any relief from God or man, forsaken as they were of both, but to trust to themselves, taking for their heaven-sent leader that man who should firsthelp them to be quit of their present misery. They agreed, and in utter ignorance began to advance at random. Nothing, however, distressed them so much as the scarcity of water, and they had sunk ready to perish in all directions over the plain, when a herd of wild asses was seen to retire from their pasture to a rock shaded by trees. Moyses followed them, and, guided by the appearance of a grassy spot, discovered an abundant spring of water. This furnished relief. After a continuous journey for six days, on the seventh they possessed themselves of a country, from which they expelled the inhabitants, and in which they founded a city and a temple.

    Moyses, wishing to secure for the future his authority over the nation, gave them a novel form of worship, opposed to all that is practised by other men. Things sacred with us, with them have no sanctity, while they allow what with us is forbidden. In their holy place they have consecrated an image of the animal by whose guidance they found deliverance from their long and thirsty wanderings. They slay the ram, seemingly in derision of Hammon, and they sacrifice the ox, because the Egyptians worship it as Apis. They abstain from swine's flesh, in consideration of what they suffered when they were infected by the leprosy to which this animal is liable. By their frequent fasts they still bear witness to the long hunger of former days, and the Jewish bread, made without leaven, is retained as a memorial of their hurried seizure of corn. We are told that the rest of the seventh day was adopted, because this day brought with it a termination of their toils; after a while the charm of indolence beguilded them into giving up the seventh year also to inaction. But others say that it is an observance in honour of Saturn, either from the primitive elements of their faith having been transmitted from the Idaei, who are said to have shared the flight of that God, and to have founded the race, or from the circumstance that of the seven stars which rule the destinies of men Saturn moves in the highest orbit and with the mightiest power, and that many of the heavenlybodies complete their revolutions and courses in multiples of seven. 

    can you explain this ancient account?  and why it seems more reality than our childhood tales?

    Love your work guys! However, the Bible doesn't seem to match your theory about Pharaoh hardening his heart and God doing it too. A few quick points:
    1. God continues to use conditional language "if you don't, then…" even AFTER the first 5 plagues.
    2. More importantly, in Exodus 4.21 God announces that he will harden pharaoh's heart so that he can get to Plague #10 (and glorify himself as we learn in Exodus 9.16).

    Just in terms of narrative, I'd like to ask why you say Pharaoh's hardens his heart first. Isn't the first mention of this in Exodus 4:21 and 7:3 where God says He will harden Pharaoh's heart (before 7:13)?

    Just wondering is what is the significance of the burning Bush. I know it was how god appeared to moses, but why a burning Bush. Does it mean something more? Or, am I just looking to far in.

    Small critique – Jacob died in Egypt but his body was taken back to Canaan to be buried with Abraham and Isaac. The tombstone next to Joseph makes it seem like he was buried in Egypt.

    Why do academics here in the U.S., FALSELY CLAIM the EXODUS as occurring in 1445 B.C. ?
    As the Biblical record, gives us very accurate dates from the EXODUS, to the First year of King SAUL, as 537 years !!!
    And from the First year of King SAUL, until the Eleventh year of King ZEDEKIAH, when he was captured in 587 B.C., by King NEBUCHADNEZZAR, of BABYLON, as a period of 525 years !!!

    So adding back the 525 years, ( that covers the recorded reign of the 23 Kings of JUDAH, from King SAUL'S First year, until King ZEDEKIAH'S Eleventh year ) onto the 587 B.C. date of King ZEDEKIAH'S capture, Brings us to the year 1112 B.C., for the First year of King SAUL !!

    And adding back the already established 537 years that transpired from the EXODUS until the First year of King SAUL, brings us to the year 1690 B.C. for the confirmed date of the EXODUS, ……and NOT the FALSELY Claimed date of 1445 B.C propagated by the academics of modern Theology !!!

    So what is the "Secret AGENDA" for such FALSIFIED and FRAUDULENT DATING of the EXODUS, as portrayed by modern scholars and in UNIVERSITIES all across this Nation ??
    Is there NO ACCOUNTABILITY ???

    I am loving these videos and you guys are doing great work. I do not wish to be a nitpicker but for the sake of truth I want to clarify something. At 3:10 you guys say that Pharaohs heart grew hard, and God did not do anything (in other words, Pharaoh's heart was hardened not by God?). Exodus 7:3-4 clearly says, ‚ÄúBut I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and though I multiply my miraculous signs and wonders in Egypt he will not listen to you. " God hardened Pharaohs heart because " with mighty acts of judgment I will bring out my people the Israelite.‚ÄĚ I understand how it is hard for us to understand how unjust it may sound for God to harden someone's heart but the Bible is God's word. It says that God did harden his heart because God is also a just God. We must not twist his words to fit our own meaning or misunderstandings of who God is. That is a "back to the garden" issue. God was in control the entire time, he is Sovereign over all things. Love your work! Thank you for all you do!

    For those really love and believe in the Lord Jesus, I recommend the book " Jesus, my autobiography", through Tina Louise Spalding, real Jesus speaking to you, I feel so connected with him when reading this book, which radiant with unconditional love, and Divine wisdom which is true teachings of Jesus , a lot of them missing in the Bible.

    But didn't God harden Pharaoh's hear from the start? It says so at the very beginning of the Plagues, not after the first five. See Exodus 7:3

    Love these vids. Just a heads up for all. @.34 he said "after about 400 years past. This is innacurate. They weren't in Egypt 400 years. God gave the ages and life span of the line of Korah (Moses line) so if you do the math youd see that they couldn't have been in Egypt no more than 220 years…. In fact Exodus 12:40 states that the length of time the people lived in Egypt AND Canaan was 430 years. Meaning combined. In Galatians 4:15-17 the Apostle Paul goes on to confirm this by saying :

    15 Brothers and sisters, let me take an example from everyday life. Just as no one can set aside or add to a human covenant that has been duly established, so it is in this case. 16 The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. Scripture does not say ‚Äúand to seeds,‚ÄĚ meaning many people, but ‚Äúand to your seed,‚ÄĚ[i] meaning one person, who is Christ. 17 What I mean is this: The law, introduced 430 years later, does not set aside the covenant previously established by God and thus do away with the promise. 18 For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on the promise; but God in his grace gave it to Abraham through a promise.

    Meaning from the time God spoke to Abraham at age 75 giving him the promise, to the time God gave Moses the 10 commandments on Mount Sinai after the exodus was a total of 430 years. Yall tell me what you think. Let God lead you.

    You missed the most important part of chapter 3. When Mosses asks for God's name he answers,"I Am that I Am." Meaning his existence is to be. Or the pure act of being itself.
