Do We Have Too Many Denominations of Churches?

The church is defined as the people that belong to and follow Jesus, but we’ve put in a lot of subcategories. Is that a problem? Is it a necessary evil of keeping doctrinal purity or just a way of indicating social preferences and desire to divide?

There can be a million denominations but regardless of that there can only be one type of follower of Jesus. So doesn’t matter where you go to church. Only thing that matters is the application of what Jesus taught. Denominations can be a distraction from what that is but def not wrong to have one! It’s like arguing scientific theories. We can all debate those forever but if what we’re debating is taking away from the scientific truths then even debating is a waste of time.
