There was 1 Church at the early generations of Christianity – Acts 15. The early Church was Catholic with bishops assigned to certain regions/region

    sorry but when Paul talks about those that came from James. It seems that the James party was hostile to Paul. He rebukes peter to his face for hypocrisy over those from the James party. Then Paul speaks of James, Cephas (Peter), and John (2:9) as those who “seemed influential”. Sorry but this was not a kumba ya cohesive group. Some might go as far as to say that had god not raised up Paul Christianity would have been nothing more than a Jewish sect.
